Will you empty my loft?
Yes, we can empty your loft, providing there is a suitable ladder and solid flooring, please remember to point this out to your surveyor so that we can include it in your personalised quotation.

Do I have to empty drawers?
With all cupboards and drawers they will need to be empty prior to removals, this is to prevent any damage to furniture due to excess weight and to ensure we can move your items will no difficulty. Also during the packing and lifting process, your removal furniture may need to be rotated and therefore will need to be empty. If you would like us to empty and pack your drawers, please ask for our full packing service.

Do you provide a free quotation?
Yes, all our removals and storage surveys are free of charge with no obligation. If you are moving from an area we do not cover with an in-house survey, a free of charge remote survey will be arranged.

Are my items insured during the removal?
Yes, we have limited liability cover as standard, and options to purchase full liability cover for all types of work.

How long will my removal take?
All removals and storage jobs can vary in time, we will provide you with a full move plan explaining the timescales of your removals. If you need to move to a deadline, we have the resources to ensure any removal is complete within the required timeframe.

How much notice do you require to make a removals booking?
Our diaries generally work to a 2 week lead time, in busy periods this can extend to 4 weeks for removals and storage, we recommend as soon as you know your dates to contact us and book your removals. We always do our very best to accommodate all our clients. Our removals with storage quotes are valid for 3 months so we recommend getting a quotation early in the moving process.

Do you provide packing materials?
Yes, we provide a wide range of quality removals and storage packing materials, if you opt for our packing service all materials will be provided free of charge. If you prefer to pack yourselves, you can purchase materials direct from our depots, or arrange delivery to your home.

Do I need to pack my items?
This depends on the level of service you require, we offer full removals packing services which includes the whole property, or services for just the fragile china and glass, it is entirely up to you and your budget. Some clients prefer to pack their items themselves.

What is late key waiver?
Late key waiver is a policy that will cover you in the case of the removals men not having access to your new property by the agreed time. If your removals cannot be unloaded at the agreed time, there may be a charge for the removals crew and vehicle to wait until you have access, this policy will cover you from any additional charges (terms apply).

What is deposit protection?
Deposit protection is a policy to protect you from losing your deposit should your removals date be changed after your booking*. This can be purchased at the time of booking, this will give you piece of mind if you are concerned about your removals date changing. We will be able to advise you about any costs involved should your removals be postponed or cancelled.

What time will the removals van arrive on my removal day?
A removals start time will be agreed at the time of your booking, this will be shown on your booking confirmation.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my removals?
Yes, even though we offer the platinum removals service to include, full packing of cupboards and contents, dismantling of furniture, wrapping of 'special' items, packing of clothes etc, you will still need to taking care of the following:
- Empty fridges and freezers and defrost where necessary
- Un-plumb electrical appliances including washing machines and dishwashers

How long is my removals quote valid for?
Your removals quote will be valid for 3 months from the date of quotation, after this period the price may be reviewed to account for rising labour, fuel and other costs.

Do I need to disconnect washing and electrical appliances?
Yes, our trained removals staff are here to take care of all your removals, packing and storage needs, however, they are not covered for dealing with electrical and plumbing requirements. Please consult the required tradesmen to complete these tasks.

Does my freezer need emptying before my removals?
Yes, all electrical appliances must be disconnected, empty and defrosted where necessary before your removals day.
Storage

Can I access my storage?
To keep your possessions safe whilst in storage, your items will be carefully packed into large wooden packing containers and transported to our warehouse. Here, they are stacked in our purpose built secured warehouse ready for removing your storage items to their new home. This makes it a little difficult to access your items. If you require items to be accessible please discuss this with your surveyor, who may suggest putting items to be accessible into a single container, or may suggest one of our self-store units.

Are my items covered for insurance whilst in storage?
Yes, all items are fully covered up to the maximum value declared on your removals with storage acceptance note. We have options to extend our liability to suit all house contents values.

How much notice do you require to deliver my items from storage?
To remove items from storage we suggest a notice period of 2-3 weeks, during busy periods this can extend to 4 weeks, so please book as soon as you have dates for your removals from storage to their new location.

Do you take an inventory of my items for storage?
Yes, we take an inventory of all items taken for storage. This is uploaded to our database and held until all your removals items have been returned to you. We list items as we can see them i.e. box, chair, wardrobe etc, we are unable to specify what is in each box.

How big is a storage container?
We have a variety of storage container sizes to suit your contents.

How do I pay for my storage?
Your storage fees are taken via our automated direct debit system. You will pay monthly from the 1st of each month. Your first invoice will be billed from the time you start your storage to the end of the current calendar month.

Do you do 'Self Storage'?
Yes, we have excellent self-storage facilities. Should you require regular access to your items this service is best for you. Your removals surveyor will be able to advise on the costs for this, depending on the volume of your removals contents.

Will my items be safe in your storage facility?
Yes, we have stored items for decades in our purpose built facilities. They are fully alarmed with 24 hour CCTV surveillance and fire protection. Full loss and damage liability is available and included with your storage.
